Terms of Service

By creating an account or using the WoodSong platform at woodsong.ca, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms") and our Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use WoodSong. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and WoodSong Music Inc.

WoodSong is a cloud-based software platform offering four portals:

• WS Player — instrument vault, string log, tuner, metronome, and maintenance tracker for musicians.
• WS Student — practice room, assignments, note awards, and lesson management for music students.
• WS Teacher — student roster, assignments, invoicing, and studio management for music teachers.
• WS Luthier — repair job tracking, client instrument management, and inventory for luthiers.

WoodSong reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature or the service at any time with reasonable notice to registered users.

You must be at least 13 years of age to create an account. Users under 18 must have parental or guardian consent. By using WoodSong, you confirm that you meet these requirements.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to notify WoodSong immediately of any unauthorized access at support@woodsong.ca.

You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to keep your account information updated.

WoodSong offers the following subscription plans (prices in CAD):

New WS Student and WS Teacher accounts receive a 14-day free trial. New WS Luthier accounts receive a 30-day free trial. No credit card is required to start a trial.

At the end of the trial period, continued access requires a paid subscription. WoodSong will notify you before your trial expires.

You agree not to use WoodSong to:

• Upload or transmit content that is unlawful, harmful, or infringes third-party rights
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the platform or its infrastructure
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or create derivative works from the platform
• Use automated tools to scrape, crawl, or extract data without written permission
• Harass, abuse, or harm other users

You retain ownership of any content you upload or create within WoodSong (including instrument records, maintenance logs, and assignments). By using the platform, you grant WoodSong a limited, non-exclusive licence to store and display your content solely for the purpose of providing the service to you.

WoodSong does not sell your content or use it for advertising purposes.

WoodSong, including its name, logo, design, software, and all content created by WoodSong, is the intellectual property of WoodSong Music Inc. and is protected by applicable Canadian and international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

Nothing in these Terms grants you a right to use WoodSong's trademarks, logos, or branding without prior written consent.

WoodSong integrates with third-party services including Supabase (database and authentication) and Stripe (billing). Your use of these services is also subject to their respective terms of service and privacy policies. WoodSong is not responsible for the practices of third-party providers.

WoodSong may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, with or without notice depending on the severity of the violation. You may delete your account at any time through the in-app account deletion flow or by contacting privacy@woodsong.ca.

Upon termination, your right to use the platform ceases immediately. Your data will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Nova Scotia and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein.
